Tactic autonomic decontamination materials – TAKEM
Contract No: SEMOD-EL76/95-11/2025
Recipient: MicroPoll s.r.o., Vazovova 5, 812 43 Bratislava 1
Project duration: 09/2025 – 08/2027 (24 mesiacov)
Grant amount: 193 310,40 €
The objective of the TAKEM project is the research and development of a breakthrough, fully autonomous system for the immediate elimination of chemical and biological threats directly on material surfaces. By utilizing an innovative combination of a printed electroluminescent structure and advanced photocatalysis based on graphitic carbon nitride, this intelligent surface can activate the degradation of toxic substances and pathogens. The entire process operates completely independently, without the need for external radiation sources, aggressive chemical agents, or manual cleaning, representing a significant step toward safer and more environmentally friendly protection technologies. The research focuses on integrating these functional layers onto highly durable military textiles and flexible films using advanced additive printing methods, ensuring both mechanical durability and low energy consumption.
The project outcomes will provide a new level of protection for armed forces by ensuring the safety of equipment surfaces, infrastructure, and personal gear under demanding conditions. At the same time, the technology also has strong potential in the civilian sector, particularly in healthcare, public transportation, and the food industry, where it can enhance hygienic safety and significantly reduce environmental impact.
The project is financially supported by the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic.
